MATTHEW WATKINS is a director and designer. He founded Orange Theatre with Stephen Christensen in 2010 and served as its artistic director. He has directed and designed sets for all of the company’s productions, including Herakles, ELEKTRANOSTOP, Blood Wedding, Hamletmachine, Desiring Flight, <solaris>, and YOU YOU SHOULDN’T COME BACK. He has co-written two pieces with Katrina Donaldson that he directed, entitled hair and fingernails and Daughter of the Deer. He is currently developing a new work of music theatre in collaboration with experimental music collective thingNY. BA in Theatre, Arizona State University.
